Nurturing Change
Deirdre recently co-authored the Motion on Building Standards and Consumer Protection - making a substantial contribution to the ‘Safe as Houses’ report of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Housing, Planning and Local Government.
Community Priorities
Deirdre is in favour of developing safe cycling/walking routes, protecting green spaces, acting agaist climate change and supporting provision of high-quality housing for the area.
Locally Focused
A practising barrister and Green Party councillor for Glencullen/Sandyford. She has worked in the local area (and nationally) to seek long-term solutions for home owners dealing with defects. Her 2019 public meeting on apartment defects was very well received by the residents who attended
